June 23, 2019 Written with Live Images by Zack Tremblay

Well, it’s that time of year again. That time of year when some of the biggest stars in music come together to celebrate their chart-topping hits. Kiss Concert 2019 went above and beyond with their line up this year, which included Jonas Brothers, Ellie Goulding, Bebe Rexha, Why Don’t We, Ava Max, Ally Brooke, Bryce Vine, Fletcher, CNCO, Elle Winter and Lil Jon. Each and every year, Kiss 108 seems to step up their game, delivering an incredible and perfectly structured show for the fans. The event featured a special live broadcast from the Xfinity Center in Mansfield, full of backstage interviews featuring KISS 108’s on-air personalities including Matty from Matty in the Morning, Billy Costa, Lisa, Bex, Romeo and Mikey V.

The show kicked off with Elle Winter, who has found success through her debut single “Sick Of You”. Winter’s debut track will lead her upcoming EP, set to release this fall under RED MUSIC. There was a simple class and charm to Elle’s set that captured the ear of every fan in that amphitheater. FLETCHER followed Elle with a collection of originals, but her shining moment included a cover of Dan + Shay’s hit “Tequila”, which led into FLETCHER’s original “Undrunk”. These strong female musicians seems to be taking over the Kiss 108 Kiss Concert and it didn’t stop there. Fans went wild when Ava Max hit the stage to perform her radio hits “So Am I” and “Sweet But Psycho”. This show was full of moments and Bryce Vine shared a very special one with the crowd as he performed on his birthday. Now the next two artists served some serious Latin vibes, hyping up the crowd as the night continued on. Ally Brooke and CNCO delivered show-stopping performances, getting people up on their feet and dancing. While the show was off to a great start, Bebe Rexha took things to a whole new level. Song after song, Rexha delivered nothing but the hits, performing her most memorable tracks including, “Me, Myself & I”, “I’m A Mess”, “Hey Mama”, “In The Name of Love”, “Take Me Home” and “Meant to Be”. Bebe spent her six-song set embracing the woman she has become, encouraging all the young girls in the audience to love themselves and remain unapologetic to who they truly are. Rexha is not only an incredible performer, but role model as well.

Now, after a brief intermission, nothing could prepare us for what was coming next. This was the moment in the show everyone was waiting for. The moment some have been waiting nearly ten years for. If you haven’t caught on yet, we are referring to the Jonas Brothers. Following the release of their highly anticipated album, Happiness Begins, the Jonas Brothers have perfectly crafted a set list for every fan. Joe, Nick and Kevin opened their set with a fan favorite, “Burnin’ Up”, followed by “Cool”, “That’s Just The Way We Roll” and “S.O.S.”. At this point in the show the brothers took the time to sing music from their solo ventures including Nick’s breakout hit “Jealous” and DNCE’s “Cake By The Ocean”. Hit after hit, the brothers collectively had every single fan singing every single lyric to every song ending their set with “Year 3000” and “Sucker”. By the time the Jonas Brothers walked off stage, the energy level was at an all-time high. The singing and dancing did not stop there, Lil Jon hit the stage to deliver a trip down memory lane.

As the show was nearing an end, Ellie Goulding hit the stage to perform some of her biggest hits, seven of them to be exact. That’s right, seven hits. Ellie performed “I Need Your Love”, “Close to Me”, “Lights”, “On My Mind”, “Love Me Like You Do”, “Anything Could Happen” and “Burn. After an incredible night full of undeniable talent, Why Don’t We closed out the night celebrating music from their debut album 8 Letters. This night was truly one the audience will never forget. iHeartMedia’s Kiss 108 continues to shine year after year, allowing fans to have one of the best nights of their lives. We can only imagine what might happen next year!
